I was late going to the venue as a response to the invitation of the Data Science and Technology Corporation
( DSTC ) due to heavy rain and massive traffic along EDSA. I thought that my reservations will be cancelled but as i went to the station, they welcomed me to the venue for most of the participants coming from different places in Luzon were also late due to the weather conditions, so the DSTS team decided to adjust the time for us.

| Mr. Tim Gonzales Teaching the basics of Controls. |
The workshop was divided into two phases, the first one is the seminar discussion on basic robotics concept and followed by the application, programming and a slight designing of the robot. The Robot we use was named RoboCircle, due to its first prototype which was designed with a Circle base with two wheels but as the robot compete internationally, the designer removed the Circle base for it declines its balance.
The designer/ coach, Mr. Tim Gonzales, instruct us to build our own RoboCircle with the use of the concept he discussed. he challenged us to apply our creativity to build the robot and told us to compete with each other. he urged us to strategize from our software or computer commands to control our robots. The Game was called "SUMO" Robo Challenge, wherein robots were treated like sumo wrestlers and they need to stay on the inner circle to win the game. This was adapted from China, but became an international tournament being participated with many countries now. including Philippines. We were given one set of robo circle, a desktop computer and an hour to wrap up everything. Given the fact that the robots were guided with IR sensors. We are confident that all of our commands on the computer will manifest in the battlefield.

| Taking notes and reviewing designs and commands for my Robot. |
after an hour, Mr. Tim, opened the Robo Ring and we were told to compete with each other, at the first round all of us put our robots on the ring and surprisingly, my robot survived from my opponents which lead me to compete with the champion robot from the other group. The game was so amazing, we watched robots play like real cars with its own lives. Eventually, the strategy of my opponent was better, since he had to use greater force on the first attack, i was defeated for i only used my robo energy low at first, thinking that i can conserve energy for my third attack.
I was recognized as second place in the tournament. I felt joy. It is not just the tournament but the opportunity to at least have basic idea on designing, programming and operating robots.
DSTC is one of the leading company here in the Philippines and their goal is for the exposure training of teachers to this technology. I respect their company's vision of the improved technology education in the newly K12 oriented Nation.
