Let Us Talk About Love

Have you ever felt in love? I guess you have. Besides, you would not dare reading this if this does not ring a bell to you. Well, there are different types of love, but what am i referring to is the most common among all teenagers and even to majority of people around the world. The Romantic Love. Many people got different reactions when they started talking about Love. Some people i know elicit happy enthusiastic thoughts about love while others have bitter stories to tell. People are seemingly wanting to build a relationship with their opposite sexes, expecting to complete their lives or have a companion or a partner.

Are you familiar with a saying that says " Love makes the World Go Round"? it just implies that without love, world is dry and stagnant. When there is love, hope, and faith, happiness follows. Love brings about responsibility and commitment, and when Love is true, Love is treated as Life.

On the other hand, When trying to build connection, though it is out of one's intentions, something seems not going to work out. Relationship seems a burden and both sides experience struggles and misunderstandings. It is normal. There are numerous people who are passing by this situation. Now, we may be asking "what seems wrong or lacking? " or perhaps the best question is " What can I DO? "
I have listed Four primary things I learned Before trying to find for an intimate partner.

1. Grow in Intimacy with the Divine.
First thing to remember, we are looking for a partner not to complete us but to be a co-worker in life. Someone who can be with us to build a family together and not for a short term satisfaction. We should learn to develop our spiritual disposition. Know God in our life. Experience achieving our higher faculties. Let our spirit be fulfilled with unselfish love. be guided with the good news and connection with the divine.

2. Grow in Service
Loving is also Serving, We should learn that when we love someone, we are always thinking for someones betterment. We should train ourselves not to be selfish and not to expect other people to do things we like. it is the other way around. We have to learn to give our time, efforts and love without expecting to get the same. everything pays off at the proper time. In this section, to grow in service, we have to look how we treat our parents. This will be our training ground,  love our parents first in service before we serve others.

3. Grow in Character
It is significant that we develop our character first before we move to an intimate relationship. Learn to develop our personality to be a building block of our character. Be open to new learnings and opportunities to improve our emotional state. When we easily get hurt or short in temper, then we need to process these first. Because these might be a triggering problem when you build a relationship. Learn how to listen genuinely, how to be patient, and how to speak with love and care.

4. Grow Professionally and Financially
When we build a relationship, we have to take note that we are looking forward to building a family in the future. It is a need that we see ourselves improving in our professions and finance. It is important that we ready ourselves with responsibilities attached to having a partnership in life. It is better when both sides know that together, you are building a better future.
These are some of the things I randomly listed before entering into a relationship. There is a virtue that says, " True Love Waits". This is really powerful and sensible. When we really love a person, we should be willing to grow ourselves first in various aspects before pursuing into making intimate connections. I believe that each person can have a better relationship when we know that both sides have prepared each other well, and have decided to grow themselves first before getting into an intimate relationship.
