Broken families refer to families where the parents are separated, divorced, or have ended their relationship. Such families can have a profound impact on the emotional, social, and economic well-being of the family members, especially children.
In conclusion, broken families can be a challenging and emotional experience for all members involved. Both parents and children. However, with open communication with the child, support, and a proper mindset on dealing the circumstances of parting each other, the damage of separation will be lessened or even become better for both parties involved.
Children from broken families are experiencing a range of emotions such as an
ger, sadness, confusion, and guilt. They also feel neglected, abandoned, and insecure. This can lead to behavioral problems, academic difficulties, and even physical health problems. They may also find it difficult to trust others, form healthy relationships, and develop a sense of self-worth.
In addition to the emotional impact, broken families can also have economic consequences. In many cases, one parent may have to bear the responsibility of raising the children alone, which can be financially challenging. The children may sometimes develop hurt, and resentment toward their parents.

I experienced this among my students and they, in one way or the other, have impacted them in their views in life, happiness, and even on building their own families in the future.
The common thing about my students is the pain they carry from their early childhood up to their late teenage life. Although a lot of them are starting to accept their conditions as they become young adults, still some push buttons they had in their hearts are still intact.
Parents are responsible for building good relationships and show affections toward each other, but sometimes it just don't work anymore, and in that case the option is to leave each other, leaving the child unprepared for the emotional impact.
With this, I have some thoughts or piece of advise for the parents and the children who are forced to be strained with this situation;
For the parents, the most important thing is to keep your communication open with your child. Children must understand the situation no matter how young they are; they would understand the logic behind if we constantly tell them the difficulty in your relationship, and it will not be difficult and confusing for the child to see if the final resort is for the parents to depart.
Another thing to lessen the impact is to always talk with your child the good things about his/her parents, both parents surely have positive qualities and when they talk with the child about the problem, they should not forget the good things both parents have. This will make the child understand that his/her parents are good people at the end of the day, its just that, things are already unbearable for both parents to stay together.
Last important thing is to always talk with your child with love, and always praise them with their good qualities. Always remind them that your separation doesn't mean he/she is less worthy, and hug the child more often.
For the children, remember that your parents are not Gods. They have imperfections and weaknesses. You must believe that they, too, have dreams of a good family. But circumstances are tricky and sometimes parents are not yet matured enough to handle problems, they find themselves trapped into insecurities, pain and anger. These qualities are not helpful and if not halted, it may even result to a more serious damage. Your parents decided to separate. It was their decision, a not easy decision, and they went through sadness. You may feel hurt, but they too were not prepared for this hurt.
When children understand this situation, they will begin to write their own story. They will begin to accept the things they do not have control with, and make their experience a lesson. Remember, It is important for children to maintain respective relationships with both parents, this can help children develop a sense of security and a positive sense of identity, and for them NOT to develop resentment, indifference or hate towards their father or mother.
In conclusion, broken families can be a challenging and emotional experience for all members involved. Both parents and children. However, with open communication with the child, support, and a proper mindset on dealing the circumstances of parting each other, the damage of separation will be lessened or even become better for both parties involved.
